How to Measure Your Room
1. Measure the length and width of your room.
For a rectangular room, simply multiply:
Length × Width = Floor Area
Example:
6.0m × 5.0m = 30m²
2. Add waste allowance.
We recommend adding 5–10% extra for straight plank flooring, and 10–15% extra for herringbone or complex layouts.
Example with 10% waste:
30m² × 1.10 = 33m²
Enter the final area into the calculator above. Flooring is sold by full boxes only, so any partial box requirement will be rounded up to the nearest full box.
