FLOORING CARE
Care & Maintenance
Protect the natural beauty and long-term performance of your engineered timber flooring with professional care recommendations for modern Australian living environments.
Avoid Steam Mops
High heat and moisture may damage flooring performance, edges, and surface finish.
Maintain Stable Humidity
Recommended indoor conditions: 18–24°C and relative humidity below 70%.
Clean Spills Quickly
Do not allow standing water or spills to remain on the flooring surface.
Protect From Scratches
Use felt pads, soft protectors, and avoid dragging furniture across the floor.
Wax Oiled Flooring
Natural surface care for oiled timber finishes.
- Remove loose dirt with a soft-bristle broom or vacuum.
- Use cleaners specifically designed for wax-oiled timber floors.
- Avoid excessive water after oil-based cleaning products.
- Refresh and re-oil when the surface appears dull or tired.
Lacquered Flooring
Simple protection for durable lacquered surfaces.
- Vacuum regularly using a hard-floor attachment.
- Use lacquered floor cleaning spray for regular maintenance.
- Avoid steel wool, abrasive pads, and scouring powder.
- Clean spills promptly and do not allow liquids to stand.
Furniture Protection
Use felt pads under furniture legs. Never push, pull, or drag heavy furniture or appliances across the flooring surface.
Sunlight & Rugs
Avoid placing rugs or mats on new flooring for the first six months. Move rugs and furniture regularly to reduce uneven colour changes.
Wet Areas
Water should not remain on the floor surface for extended periods. Special sealing treatment may be required near bathrooms or pools.
Vacuuming
Use the bare-floor setting or soft floor attachment. Avoid beater bars or hard rotating brushes that may scratch the surface.
